Marine Comes Home on Leave

About a month or two ago the wife of a Marine contacted me to take photos of him coming home from Iraq.  To make a long story short, he came home the day before his son’s first birthday.  The following are just some of the photos I captured for them.

The next day the local media found out about their story, and they were interviewed by NBC 25.  You can see the story here:

Two days later the Record Herald, Waynesboro’s local newspaper, ran their story on the front page, and used to of my photos for the story.  I know it’s not the New York Times, but I thought it was pretty cool to have one of my photos on the front page of a newspaper.  :)

You can read the full Record Herald story here:

Being able to serve someone, who has made such a sacrifice to serve us was a true honor.  Cpl. Justin Buzzard is only on leave for two weeks, he than goes back to Iraq until spring.  Please join me in praying for them, that they are able to make the most out of this time they have together, and for when he returns to serve.  Thank you, Justin and Summer, for your sacrifice and service to our country.

Kristen & Mike’s Engagement Session

Kristen and Mike are getting married this September. I met them at Kristen’s family’s farm in Chambersburg, PA. We went all over the place. Including a few places where that where only accessible by four-wheeler. It was a fun evening, and below are just a few of my favorites from the session.

Congrats, Kristen & Mike!  I’m looking forward to 9/26!

Hagerstown, MD Wedding at Duffy’s on Potomac

Keren and Ben where married on June 13th at Bridge of Life in Hagerstown, MD, and had their reception at the Ballroom at Duffy’s on Potomac.  I’ve known Keren since she was around 13, so photographing her wedding was a real blessing for me.

My assistant Karen took this photo.  Did she do an awesome job or what?!

Congrats Keren and Ben, and thanks for having me shoot your wedding photos!  :)
